Upcoming Events

For 2023, our aim is to host a range of events which encourage people with various interests and abilities to engage with their Geopark – its unique landscapes, geology, and stories and to attract visitors to this wonderful region.

The Geopark covers an extensive area, almost 20,000 hectares in size containing over 50 sites of natural, historical, or cultural interest. Cavan Burren Park being one of these sites. Our Geopark Guides are crucial to the delivery of the Events Programme and with their on-going support and assistance we are able to deliver a truly diverse and engaging Events Programme.

At all our sites we promote the Leave No Trace Principles as well as the Geopark Code. Please be responsible and wear warm waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear.

Events may be added, altered, or cancelled and most are weather dependant so please check our website or social media pages for updated details.

All events must adhere to Covid-19 government guidelines and are subject to change. Refunds will be offered for any cancelled eventsIf you notice you or anyone in your group experiencing any potential Covid-19 symptoms, then please do not attend events.
